Steve Wozniak
Education Program Advisor

A Silicon Valley icon and philanthropist for the past three decades, Steve Wozniak helped shape the
computing industry with his design of Apple's first line of products including the Apple I and II,
and influenced the popular Macintosh computer as well. He was awarded the National Medal of Technology, the highest
honor bestowed to America's leading innovators by the President of the United States and, in 2000,
was inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame.
Making significant investments of both his time and resources in education, Wozniak "adopted" the
Los Gatos, California School District, providing students and teachers with hands-on teaching, as well as
donations of state-of-the-art technology equipment. He also supports the efforts of Drive Around the World by making connections with educators who share our mission and a passion for travel.
Wozniak founded the Electronic Frontier
Foundation, and was founding sponsor of the Tech Museum, Silicon Valley Ballet, and Children's
Discovery Museum of San Jose.
